Mockup Video Generator for Boxes & Packaging

Turn a box dieline into a short MP4: watch the flat blank fold up into the finished box, or spin the assembled box 360° with your artwork on it. Pick a square, vertical or widescreen frame for your feed, Reels, TikTok, YouTube or product page. Everything renders in your browser, with no plugins and no sign-up.

How to make a packaging mockup video

1. Choose the box

Pick a sample structure above, or open the studio to enter your exact length, width, depth and board caliper. The 3D model is built from the real dieline, flaps and all.

2. Add your artwork

Upload a PNG or JPG for the front panel or lid, or map full-dieline artwork across every printed face. Switch between white SBS board and natural kraft.

3. Render the video

Choose an animation, a 1:1, 9:16 or 16:9 frame, a length and a backdrop, then press Generate. Download the MP4, or share it straight from your phone.

Three Animation Styles

Each animation is rendered frame by frame from the 3D model rather than screen-recorded, so motion stays smooth at every resolution, even on slower laptops.

Fold + spin

Starts as the flat dieline, folds into the box, then turns a full 360°. It shows the structure and the artwork in one clip, which suits launches, crowdfunding pages and client presentations.

360° turntable

The assembled box turns once and the clip loops seamlessly. Use it as a product-page video or an autoplaying background.

Fold only

The flat blank folds into the finished box and settles at a 3/4 angle. Useful for showing clients, printers or customers how the box goes together.

Video Sizes for Social Media and Product Pages

Every video is 30 frames per second. 720p is available for smaller files; 4K needs Pro Unlimited.

Tips for a Mockup Video That Matches the Real Box

  • Use the real dimensions. Start from a standard preset or measure your product so the proportions on screen are the proportions on the shelf.
  • Wrap artwork across every panel. Place full-sheet artwork, text, logos and stickers in the studio’s 2D view, with bleed and safe zones respected, and it wraps the box in the video exactly as it will print.
  • Pick the board finish. Kraft reads as natural and eco-friendly; white SBS suits cosmetics and electronics.
  • Match the backdrop to the channel. White gives a clean catalogue look, Studio adds a soft gradient and Dark makes light-coloured packaging stand out.
  • Check the fold first. The same engine powers the 3D folding simulator, so scrub through the fold before you render.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the mockup video generator free?+

Yes, and no sign-up is needed. Free videos come in 720p or 1080p in every format and animation, with a small "Made with DielineKit.com" badge in the corner. Pro Unlimited removes the badge and adds 4K.

What file format do I get?+

An MP4 video encoded with H.264, which plays almost everywhere and can be uploaded to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and online stores. A browser that cannot encode H.264 produces a WebM file instead, and the download button shows which format you are getting.

Is my artwork or video uploaded anywhere?+

No. The 3D rendering and the video encoding both run in your browser, and the finished file is saved straight to your device. The video is never sent to our servers.

How long can the video be?+

Choose 6, 10 or 15 seconds at 30 frames per second. The 360° spin is built to loop seamlessly, so it can repeat on a product page without a visible jump.

Which size should I use for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube?+

Use 9:16 (1080 × 1920) for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Stories, 1:1 (1080 × 1080) for feed posts and product galleries, and 16:9 (1920 × 1080) for YouTube, websites and presentations.

Can I make a video of my own box size?+

Yes. Open the studio, enter your box’s length, width, depth and board thickness or pick one of the 66 presets, add your artwork, then open Mockup → Video in the 3D view. The animation folds your exact dieline, so the video matches the box your printer will make.

Which browsers does it work in?+

Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari, and Firefox on desktop. Rendering uses your device’s graphics chip, so longer and 4K videos take longer; you can cancel at any time. If a browser cannot encode video, you get a message instead of a broken file.
